Frequently asked questions

Is there anything I should do before welding certified items?

It would be good to do a test weld before starting on the certified items.

During welding, the gas must be replaced inside the item 9 times before the oxygen is gone, to achieve clean and shiny welds.

The items should be at room temperature to be free of moisture and condensation.

It is good to clean the item with alcohol or cleaning fluid.

When using polyurethane foam, start with a 100 mm distance from the weld on both sides – the foam can tolerate up to approximately 100 degrees Celsius.

Then you can experiment if you want to reduce the distance.

It is possible to have a slightly smaller distance before welding on the side where the gas is blown in.

Where the steel gets its normal color during welding, the temperature is approximately 300 degrees.

After finishing the welding, you should flush with gas until the temperature is below 100 degrees Celsius.
